We have another Russian Mountain Dog named Grizzle and she missed Bear just as much as us, she wouldn't eat for a few days after he was put to sleep and she wanted constant fuss and cuddles.
And Just like Bear, Grizzle is a wonderful guardian, best friend and protector of her family.
The vet that had treated Bear over his short years also cried many tears at having to put him to sleep, she became a true friend and even today still has a canvas painting of him on her wall in the veterinary surgery.
Three years after Bear's passing we decided Grizzle needed a new companion, So Molly, a little Cocker Spaniel joined the family and the strange coincidence is, that Molly arrived into the family home, on Bear's birthday and I can't help wondering if Bear himself sent Molly to us to help us heal from his loss.
Molly is such a joy, She's crazy, full of energy and is our little mayhem of love and wonder.
Then we added little Frodo to our family, a crazy, mental full of energy Cocker Spaniel.
He is wonderful and amazing and just so bloody cute.
As I add this little piece on, today is Bear's heavenly birthday (September 24th) and I would always sing to him, Dream a little dream of me by the Mumas & Pupas, and he would howl along with me knowing it was our song. Mummy and Bear's song. I have played that song three times so far this morning, loudly, singing along and telling my darling boy how much I wish he was still with us all.

The earrings my best friend wears, the bracelet brought at our market stall, slipped into a handbag ready to take you on another journey.
